The Wren and Cuff Garbage Face is a fuzz pedal that produces the sound of Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J. Mascis in one unit.
Dinosaur Jr. toured the world alongside many of the bands that defined the 90s, making an impact all over the world.
A big vintage fuzz pedal is essential to the sound of J. Mascis and Dinosaur Jr., as has been featured in numerous magazines around the world. It was only natural that muff experts Wren and Cuff would create a J. Mascis signature model.
After more than two years of development, Garbage Face is now complete.
To create Garbage Face, we rebuilt J's own number one Muff, starting with the parts. This particular pedal is not just a 70s Rams Head. J's pedal in particular was strange, with parts that were incorrectly priced and some parts whose values had changed significantly over the years. Garbage Face is built with values that take these changes into account.
Garbage Face also features a boost section that recreates J's favorite germanium treble booster, and in between is a simple but incredibly useful tool: a footswitch that toggles between the two volume outputs.
●Control
VOLUME: Adjusts the volume of the fuzz. The knob setting is reflected when Volume 1 is enabled.
VOLUME 2: Adjusts the volume of the fuzz. The knob setting is reflected when Volume 2 is enabled.
TONE: Adjusts the tone of the fuzz.
GAIN: Adjusts the fuzz distortion.
BOOST: Adjusts the boost level.
TREBLE/FULL: Switches the boost between treble boost and full-range boost.
FUZZ switch: Turns fuzz on/off.
VOLUME 1-2 Switch: Switches the fuzz volume between two knob settings.
TREBLE BOOST switch: Turns the boost on/off.
*There is a trim pot inside, but it is for adjustment by the manufacturer.
Garbage Face is powered by a standard center negative DC 9V adapter.
Batteries cannot be used.
