This model was developed while inheriting the features of the popular Yamaha foot pedal "9500 Series," and is the flagship model of Yamaha system drum foot pedals, offering high performance, a wide range of adjustment functions, and the utmost in stability and durability.
Each part is precisely machined and assembled to ensure smooth performance. It also features numerous adjustment mechanisms, including the footboard and beater angle, cam shape for ease of use, and spring tension for adjusting the foot pedal feel, all of which are particularly important to drummers. This allows for even more precise setup, making it easy to create the drummer's preferred setting.
The wide, long footboard with a glossy mirror finish and the ball bearing operating parts with blue finish parts exude a sense of luxury as a flagship model.
With its sophisticated specifications and innovative looks, the FP9 offers optimal settings for a variety of playing styles, and as the top model in Yamaha's foot pedal lineup, it offers maximum support for performance, further expanding the possibilities for drummers.


The "double chain drive" design provides a natural and smooth pedal action. The cam section through which the double chain passes can be adjusted in three positions, allowing you to select your preferred cam position to achieve the pedal action that best suits your playing style. Additionally, by changing to the included belt drive parts, you can choose between a chain or belt drive for the pedal feel you prefer.

[Main features]
■Quick-adjusting cam/link for chain driveThe double chain drive applies even tension with each pedal stroke.By changing the cam to C1, C2, or C3 (see image), you can set it to lighten the initial action.

■High-precision split frame structure: A highly precisely machined blue part is used as the ball bearing insertion part. By combining this blue part with a flat-machined frame, the blue part containing the built-in ball bearing is precisely positioned. By precisely positioning the rocker shaft straight, the ball bearing is prevented from wobbling, ensuring smooth operation. Meticulous precision in the details has been achieved, allowing for smoother rotation of the ball bearing and rocker shaft. It responds accurately to a variety of foot pedal techniques, providing powerful support for the drummer's performance.

■Auto-locking spring tension: The spring tension adjustment knob faces upward, allowing the drummer to easily adjust the spring tension while sitting on a stool. The adjustment knob locks every 90 degrees of rotation to prevent loosening during performance. The adjustment knob also swings, allowing for more natural spring expansion and contraction.

■ Original beater / dedicated weight
The FP9's original beater allows you to attach a dedicated weight to the bottom of the beater. By attaching the included aluminum (3g) or brass (9g) dedicated weights, you can expand the range of your sound and performance.

■High-precision, low-position heel structure / Heel spike The heel position is designed to be low. The hinge part is equipped with a highly precise cover (blue part) to improve footboard stability, allowing for smooth pedal work.
Additionally, spikes are installed on the heel of the footboard to prevent the foot pedal from slipping while playing, further improving stability and operability.

■Ball bearings in the drive connection A ball bearing is installed at the part of the footboard where it connects to the drive, providing even smoother playability.

■Footboard/Beater Angle AdjustmentThe footboard and beater angle adjustments are designed independently, allowing you to set them at any angle.Memory lines are also provided for checking the angle, making it easy to recreate your preferred settings at any time.

■Equipped with ball bearings - Ball bearings are installed in the moving parts of the universal joint. By installing bearings that rotate smoothly, the pedal action and operability of the sub-pedal have been dramatically improved.

■Sub-pedal anchor The sub-pedal is equipped with a spike on the front, which prevents it from slipping during performance and further improves pedal stability and operability.

Belt drive parts are included, allowing you to choose your preferred drive style: chain or belt.

■ Carrying case
All FP9 models come with a dedicated compact semi-hard case.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
