The BB735A is a renewed active 5-string model that inherits the BB identity!
The Yamaha BB Bass has been boldly redesigned with the modern music scene in mind, based on the concept of "the ultimate bolt-on passive bass." This is the BB735, a redesigned variation model that faithfully inherits the basic specifications of the top-of-the-line BBP model, and, for the first time in a long time, adopts an active bass specification, a feature that is largely passive in BB models. Manufactured overseas, it offers excellent cost performance!
Inheriting the wood materials and laminate construction of the higher-end BB models, this guitar features a three-ply alder/maple/alder laminate body, a five-piece laminate neck combining maple and mahogany for a slim grip shape, and a rosewood fingerboard. The body, neck, and headstock are finished in matte black, while the rest of the components are black nickel. It also features a high-grade Alnico 5 magnet PJ pickup and a black three-ply pickguard. The pickup covers feature a standard design, and can be customized to your liking.
The controls for this active bass guitar include volume, pickup balance, and a 3-band EQ, and a switch allows you to switch between active and passive modes, allowing you to choose the sound that suits your situation. There's also a battery alert LED on the back, so you can see when it's time to change the battery.
There are dents on the horn and near the pickup, and there are picking marks such as slap marks on the pickguard, but it can be used without any problems when playing.
There is ample room in the truss rod and the neck is in good condition.
