Description
Description
-----
The name "G&L" comes from the initials of George Fullerton and Leo Fender, two men with deep ties to Fender. With fans around the world, G&L began production in Fullerton, California in the early 1980s and continues to produce a variety of models today.
This time we have the very popular "ASAT" model, which features an orthodox body style and G&L's unique parts, and is equipped with three pickups and a tremolo.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.7 kg. The classic ash body shape features a natural finish that highlights the beautiful wood grain. It features a three-pickup white 3-ply pickguard and a tremolo unit. While there are some dents and scratches and some tarnish on the metal parts, the finish itself is still shiny and in relatively good condition. The strap pins have been replaced with Dunlop-style locking pins.
【neck】
The neck is made of one-piece maple. It features a distinctive headstock. There is some wear and tear on the fingerboard and back of the neck, including cracks. The tuners feature the G&L logo and are in good working order with little variation in winding tightness. There is only a little wear near the low frets, but playability is excellent. The nut width is 41.8mm. The neck shape is relatively clean.
[Electrical system]
One of its appealing features is the simple and easy-to-use TL-style control panel with 5-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone controls. The center pickup features a reverse-wound, reverse-magnetic field design, allowing for hum cancellation when mixing pickups. The ash body and G&L's original Magnetic Field Design single coil are a perfect match, producing a rich, responsive tone.
