Description

The Telecaster debuted as the Broadcaster in 1950 and has since reigned alongside the Stratocaster as a signature Fender guitar model. It's a classic electric guitar, with not only Fender's original model but also models inspired by it being produced by various manufacturers.

The guitar we have in stock this time was shipped around 1973 and is a wonderful piece with custom specifications: alder body/black color.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.7 kg. The alder body was chosen for the custom black finish. The cool look of the black finish, maple fingerboard, and pearloid pickguard (replaced from the original) is one of its charms. Below the pickguard, a recess can be seen in the wood to accommodate a humbucking pickup in the neck pickup position. The neck pickup is currently pickguard-mounted. Overall, there is weather checking, paint chipping and dents due to use, belt buckle marks, four-point jack plate attachment marks, and tarnish on the metal parts, giving it a wonderful vintage guitar feel. The bridge unit has been replaced with an aftermarket Fender brass saddle. The jack plate has also been replaced.

【neck】
The neck and fingerboard are made of one piece of maple. The headstock has some fading due to age, and the fingerboard and back of the neck have minor scratches and chipped paint, but like the body, the guitar is in good condition. The tuners appear to have been replaced at one time, but have now been replaced with the original Fender F tuners. While there is some inconsistency in the winding, they function well. Overspray was applied during a previous refret. The frets and nut were replaced in our shop, boasting excellent playability. The headstock is 16.0mm thick. The nut width is 41.4mm. The neck features a sturdy shape.

[Electrical system]
The controls include a high-pass filter that retains treble when the volume is turned down, and current wiring that allows for a pickup mix position. It features a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), volume, and tone. The pickups have been replaced with Fender Vintage '62 Reissue Telecaster pickups. The volume pot and output jack have also been replaced. The alder body's distinctive sound, with a clear and warm sound in the neck position and a crisp yet pleasant overtone in the bridge position, offers a distinctive contrast to the standard ash body specs.
