Description
Description
Our store acquired and sold this item when it was new, and now it has returned after nearly 10 years!
Among the many unique Tyler colors, Psychedelic Vomit is one of the iconic colors used on the legendary Michael Landau Signature guitar, known for its hallucinatory namesake, along with Jim Burst and Burning Water. This Limited Edition guitar features a new, colorful pattern in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Psychedelic Vomit. This Limited Edition guitar, limited to 25 pieces, features a different finish pattern, headstock logo, and position markings.
The combination of swamp ash for the body and maple for the neck produces a big, dynamic tone with a pleasantly expansive sound. The rich, lustrous sound has captivated many musicians, including Landau, thanks to the maple fingerboard's soft feel. The ash grain visible through the bare arm cut contour is also beautiful.
The neck shape is the STANDARD '59. Compared to the EXTRA THIN '59, it's a little thicker, but it's not difficult to play. It's a popular neck shape that fits your fingers well, provides excellent playability, and produces a solid, fat sound. Combined with Tyler's signature side scalloping, which creates a shallow groove on the side of the fingerboard between each fret, you'll enjoy a comfortable, playable neck grip.
The pickups are JTS 5500 in the neck and middle positions, and the bridge humbucker was originally a SUPER-X but has now been replaced with a CALIFORNIA SPECIAL, with the SUPER-RETRO humbucker tap button being used for coil splitting on the CALIFORNIA SPECIAL.
Even with a passive circuit, the thick and vibrant Tyler tone that works perfectly with spatial effects is still alive and well, and is sure to satisfy even long-time Tyler fans.
This guitar is in well-used condition, with dents, chipped paint, cracks, and other damage visible in various places on the body and fingerboard. The frets are also worn in some places, especially in the lower positions. While this does not currently interfere with playability, it may be time to consider sanding them down. In addition to the pickup replacement mentioned above, the assembly has also been modified, with three pots replaced with ones bearing the ESP logo, the capacitor replaced with a Bumblebee replica, and the wiring now works only with the neck pickup. *The lower tone knob is in a dummy state. Other changes include likely two tone knobs being replaced, both strap pins being replaced with Schaller-type locking pins (strap parts not included), and the tremolo springs on the back of the body being set up with five springs.
Even if you're hesitant to modify a new guitar because it seems like a waste, a player-condition guitar like this one will allow you to freely inject your own ideals into it! One of the attractions of used guitars is that you can immediately enjoy the unique sound that only a well-played guitar can provide.
The eternal colorway that symbolizes James Tyler, Psychedelic Vomit! This special item is available only to Tyler fans!
