In 1969 and 1970, Jimi Hendrix used the mysterious red Fuzz Face with white knobs for some of his most famous live appearances (Live at Woodstock, Live at Berkeley, Live at the Fillmore East).
The fuzz box growled with a much more aggressive and biting tone, completely different from Jimi's previous Fuzz Face pedals.

Though the pedal itself is lost, its unmistakable, distinctive tone remains on the recordings of these three iconic shows, and Hendrix enthusiasts have been trying to capture that sound for years. We're happy to say their tonal quest can finally come to a glorious end.

After diligently combing through all of the various customized circuit designs Jimi had used over the years, the engineers narrowed this elusive fuzz tone down to a version of the Octavio circuit without the octave-up signal.
With a few adjustments, the new FuzzFace was born as the Band of Gypsis FuzzFace Mini Distortion.

Now you can get the same fuzz face tone used in his most famous performance.
It comes in a pedalboard-friendly FuzzFaceMini housing and features an AC power jack and an on/off status LED.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
