Description
This For Players version is a spin-off model developed based on customer surveys of the original TS808 #1 Cloning mod., which many regretted when it was discontinued. The main focus of development was to create an overdrive pedal that would not only recreate a vintage sound, but also be a tool for modern musicians. While the #1 Cloning mod. reproduced a unique individual instrument characterized by string separation and strong low frequencies, this version prioritizes lustrous mids over strong low frequencies, achieving both the tone of a vintage TS and a modern, transparent sound. Even within the rounded texture typical of TS pedals, the touch of a pick or fingernail is reproduced with high resolution.
The taut, resilient bypass sound and highly visible, bright LED indicators are also specifications that are conscious of the modern music scene. The calligraphy of designer Susumu Tamura, "For Players," expresses his desire for players to not only enjoy the good old-fashioned tones, but also to experience the joy of playing music in the moment.
