Description
The Lander is based on several Arbiter to Dallas Arbiter-era FuzzFaces with satisfying timbres, including a 1968 Dallas Arbiter-era FuzzFace (equipped with an NKT275) owned by the builder, and reproduces their primitive sound using silicon transistors.
The 1966-68 Fuzz Face, which used the NKT275, is in working order.
It has a very natural sound that cannot be reproduced by simply cutting the highs or lowering the gain.
And it has miraculous controllability.
To reproduce this, we used remanufactured transistors or transistors with different model numbers.
Alternatively, there have been many attempts to reproduce sound using silicon transistors,
While this may produce a good sound, it will not sound like the original FuzzFace.
Lander's method focused on the effect that germanium transistors have on circuit components and the resulting differences in operation, and reproduced them.
If you turn down the volume, you can get a sound that is close to the original sound without losing the volume of the lows.
Fully up, it has a warm and smooth clip and drives thickly.
The naturalness that is part of this amplifier is due to the use of silicon transistors and the original circuitry and constants.
This was not possible with remanufactured Ge transistors, but we have made it possible.
It has a sound that will satisfy even players who own the original Fuzz Face.
The differences from the original FuzzFace are:
In addition to being compatible with a DC adapter, it also comes equipped with an indicator that changes depending on the remaining battery power, making it easy to check the remaining battery power when using batteries.
The center is equipped with a Pre Gain control, allowing you to match it with your guitar or front stage.
It can also be played in conjunction with wah.
In addition to these features, the stable operation of Si transistors has been added, making it suitable for use in live performances.
