A masterpiece with a flame maple top and a vibrant see-through dark red color!
TOKAI (Tokai Musical Instruments) is a perennial favorite! Carrying on the craftsmanship of its heyday, this model is made entirely in Japan, from wood selection and processing to assembly, all by Japanese craftsmen. And it's available at a reasonable price!
This LS-101F features a classic LP style with a flame maple laminated body top! The grain, which changes depending on the angle, is captivating. The set neck is attached to the body by experienced technicians, who carefully adjust each and every one by hand. The adhesive is made using hide glue, a traditional glue often reserved for custom-made guitars. The precise neck pocket is carefully crafted, and repeated fine-tuning ensures the sweet spot for string vibration transmission is precisely achieved.
The neck shape provides a firm grip, and combined with the body wood, it produces a sweet, thick, distinctive sound. Two GOTOH PAF-Vintage MK2 pickups provide a firm, vintage-like sound.
