Description

This used, 2023 model is in excellent condition! The coveted D-45, all-Hawaiian Koa finish, is now in stock!

The Custom Shop series is made by skilled craftsmen at the Martin factory.
These models are made using carefully selected wood and handcrafted techniques, setting them apart from standard models, and are worthy of being described as ``complete instruments.''

This instrument is an ultra-special model based on the D-45 produced in 2023, made with luxurious all-Hawaiian Koa materials.

The D-45, the top-of-the-line model in Martin's catalog, is a superb model that is only produced when the right materials for the model number are available.
Not only is it made of carefully selected wood materials, but it also features abalone purfling and hexagonal inlays all over the body, making it one of the most coveted instruments that has captivated a wide range of players with its unique style.
This custom-ordered instrument is a special specification that is significantly different from the usual spruce and rosewood construction, with the entire instrument made entirely from solid Hawaiian Koa.

The sound is also superb, living up to the 45 name.
The core material produces a rich, full midrange, and the wide overtones characteristic of the 45 model overlap, giving it a deep yet vibrant impression.
All-mahogany and all-koa models, which use hardwood tops, often have weaknesses such as a dull or hard sound, but this instrument has a rich sound and wide range and headroom that doesn't give off any of those weaknesses.
The bass strings have a firm, sustained fundamental tone, while the treble strings have an exquisite balance with sparkling overtones that rise quickly.
Especially when playing in a stroke style, the way the attack of the pick rubbing against the string transforms into beautiful overtones is sure to give both player and listener an indescribable sense of fulfillment.
It is truly a stunning sound worthy of the quality of a top-of-the-line model.

It is in very good condition as far as condition goes.
According to the previous owner, it was never used and is in like-new condition, including the top, neck, and other wear and tear.
In terms of appearance, there is a visible change that looks like a dent of about 1mm in size on one spot on the back edge of the head, but there is no dent or anything like that and it is not noticeable.
There are some small scratches in some places that appear to have been made during manufacturing or in the past, but they are only visible if you hold the item up to the light and look closely, so we think it is fair to say that this item is in like-new condition.

Currently, the selling price for a new model with the same specifications is well over 2 million yen, and since it is a custom model with limited production numbers, there may not be another opportunity to get one at this price in the future.
Don't miss out on this ultra-special model, the D-45, which offers a huge difference from basic models.
