Description
Description
The works of Ritter Instruments, created by German maker Jens Ritter, who possesses advanced woodworking skills and an exceptional artistic sense, boldly incorporate modern art techniques into the design of his electric basses without compromising their functionality as musical instruments. While each instrument is unique and highly artistic, they are not limited to just desktop designs; rather, they are designed purely with the excellent balance and sound of the instrument in mind.
This is a very valuable instrument, with a body made from Bog Oak, which is estimated to be approximately 9,000 years old.
Bog oak is oak wood that has lain dormant for thousands of years in the extremely oxygen-poor bottoms of swamps, without decaying, and has become increasingly carbonized, making it one of the rarest and most valuable trees. Protected by peat, bog oak slowly carbonizes under high pressure and matures over centuries, becoming harder, and the tannins in the wood react with the iron and minerals in the peat, resulting in its dark color.
The total weight is about 4.2 kg, which is relatively light, but the punch and weight of the sound make it feel like you're playing a much heavier instrument, which can be attributed to the hardness of the bog oak that is achieved by aging it to a state just short of fossilization. This is by no means the "hardness of an instrument that doesn't make sound," but rather the perfect hardness for a tonewood, making it a truly enjoyable instrument to play.
The original "MASTER Triplebucker" pickup features a toggle switch that allows you to choose between a powerful humbucker and a clean, hum-free single-coil sound, and the use of rare earth magnets ensures a clear, unclouded sound.
Ritter has produced many high-quality works of art, and while their appearance tends to catch the eye, this particular instrument is one that you should pay particular attention to as an instrument.
This instrument was made in 2008, but it appears to have been played carefully and rarely taken outside. Although the gold parts are tarnished, there are no noticeable scratches, the fingerboard and frets are in very good condition, and the neck is also in good condition. The knobs have been replaced with wooden knobs, but the originals are included.
If you're looking for a special one, this is the one for you!
