SAITO Guitars, which captivates guitarists with its thorough attention to detail, has released a long-awaited lacquer finish model.
・S-622CS Heritage
Nitrocellulose lacquer, half gloss finish
The Heritage uses a nitrocellulose lacquer top coat, and the half-gloss finish is somewhere between a high-gloss and satin finish, giving you a familiar guitar feel right from the moment you pick it up.
Growl-Bore Up Pickup
This guitar features the Growl-Bore Up Set, combining the bright, powerful single-coil Growl with the clear, powerful humbucker Bore Up. We selected the optimal materials from commercially available sources, including custom-made magnets and Made in USA MWS coils, and crafted each guitar by hand, from assembling the bobbin to winding the coil. The sound changes more dramatically with aging than with standard guitars, and after six months to a year of playing, it will evolve to its ideal sound. This guitar is the culmination of SAITO GUITARS' knowledge and experience, having restored countless vintage guitars.
・CCS-SSH control
At first glance, it appears to be a simple 1-volume, 2-tone control, but the single-coil and humbucker tones are independently configured. The single-coil tone is a 250kΩ potentiometer with a 0.1uF capacitor, while the humbucker tone is a 500kΩ potentiometer with a 0.022Ω capacitor, combining parts that match the output of each pickup. In normal mode, the humbucker, which has tone control, switches to single-coil mode by pushing the tone knob, bypassing the humbucker tone circuit, allowing you to instantly switch to a circuit that is as close as possible to a standard 3S layout.
- Shielding processing with tone control in mind
Shielding is generally performed as a noise countermeasure, but the thickness and material of the shielding material not only affects the noise reduction effect, but also has a huge impact on the sound. After comparing materials of various thicknesses, the S-622CS uses the most suitable thickness and material.
