The MPX8 is a compact and convenient sample player that allows you to load audio sample data stored on a standard SD card (sold separately) and assign it to eight backlit pads for playback. It's ideal for studio and live performances, as well as for triggering sound effects in theatrical productions and streaming videos.

●Also controls external MIDI devices
The MPX8 is equipped with standard MIDI input and output terminals, allowing you to connect to external MIDI devices using the included "1/8" to MIDI conversion cable." You can play sounds from an external MIDI sound module by hitting the MPX8's pads, or you can play MPX8's sound samples from an external MIDI controller.

● Easy to edit
The MPX8 Sample Kit Editor (available for download) allows you to easily configure parameters such as tuning, reverb, trigger type, level, pan, and MIDI note number, as well as convert them to MPX8-compatible formats, on your computer before loading audio samples into the MPX8 unit.

● Loop library included
The MPX8 comes with 21 built-in voice samples, including vintage drum machine sounds, sound effects, and bass sounds. Additionally, loop libraries can be downloaded free of charge from the AKAI professional website. With its compact body, this easy-to-use sample player, along with your own original samples, is perfect for a variety of genres and situations.
