Description
A used 1995 D-45 has arrived.

This is the top-of-the-line model in the series, featuring a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood sides and back. Having been played for many years, the wood has matured beautifully, resulting in a guitar with rich overtones and a deep, resonant sound.

With a nut width of 42.9mm, it features a slightly slimmer neck shape that is easy to grip even for those with smaller hands. Furthermore, because this model has a mahogany neck, it boasts a warm midrange and excellent response, resulting in a well-balanced and rich tone that differs from the current "Select Hardwood" model.

Regarding the condition, there are signs that a pickup was previously installed, and the end pin has been replaced with a conversion end pin. There are also traces of tape on the neck block, which appear to be where a battery box was secured.

Furthermore, upon arrival, we found fret indentations caused by string pressure and detachment in four places of the back bracing. Therefore, we had the bracing glued and repaired, the frets leveled, and the string height adjusted by adjusting the saddle at our partner repair workshop. Currently, the guitar is in excellent condition both structurally and in terms of playability.

The exterior shows signs of age, including scratches, dents, and tarnishing of the metal parts, as well as shrinkage of the fretboard binding and slight unevenness in the binding due to the drying of the wood over time. All of these are characteristic of an instrument that has been cherished and played for many years, and they contribute to a mature sound.

Although not strictly classified as a vintage instrument since it was made in 1995, this guitar possesses a style and presence that is not found in current models. The amber-colored top and luxurious abalone inlay create a striking presence that allows you to fully appreciate the unique charm of the D-45.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
