The "Aquilar Elite S" features a traditional and simple look with an HH pickup configuration.

The "Aquilar" in the Mayones guitar lineup is a traditional style model that follows the "Legend" model. With a look that inherits the tradition of good old instruments, it is a particularly orthodox and well-balanced all-around model within the Mayones lineup, designed for use in all genres.
While it follows a traditional and standard instrument design, it still retains the distinctive Mayones essence, with a tight and clear sound that excels in pitch accuracy, and a sharp, defined edge even when distorted—the Mayones sound is definitely still present.

The "Aquilar Elite" features a 4A grade quilted maple top, swamp ash TEW (Tonally Enhanced Wood), wenge neck, and ebony fingerboard. All the woods used in these crucial parts that determine the instrument's tone are hard materials, resulting in excellent attack response and a very clear, tight sound.

The "TEW (Tonally Enhanced Wood)" used for the body back is similar to so-called thermowood. It is wood that has been artificially aged under strict control of pressure, humidity, and temperature to further enhance the wood's superior durability and stability, as well as its tonal characteristics. This process produces a natural, resonant tone that resonates throughout the entire body, which is characteristic of thermowood.

To meet the demands of today's music scene, Mayones' flagship models utilize laminated necks combining several types of wood, increasing neck rigidity and producing a tight, responsive, and clear sound. However, the "Aquilar" model is the only one-piece neck in the current Mayones guitar lineup, offering a neck that evokes the familiar feel of a traditional, classic instrument.

The pickups are "Lollar Imperial Low Wind" in an HH configuration. Based on a lower-power vintage PAF pickup, these pickups are characterized by their low-gain, bright tone. They also have excellent clarity and definition, resulting in a sound that stands out in an ensemble.

The bridge and tuners are made by "Gotoh," a parts manufacturer used by many top brands and globally renowned for its components. This ensures not only stable tuning but also reliable functionality of each part, and allows for easy string changes with the locking tuners, minimizing stress for the player beyond playing.

The control system consists of a 5-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone. In the half-tone positions of the 5-way pickup selector, each pickup is coil-tapped in a mixed state. The coil-tapping pattern differs depending on whether the neck or bridge pickup is in the half-tone position, allowing for variations in sound.
The volume pot also incorporates a high-pass filter called "Mayones Treble Bleed Mod" to compensate for the high-frequency drop that occurs when the volume is turned down, resulting in a simple yet functional control.

Mayones products are generally made to order, so domestic stock is limited and the next shipment date is undecided.
