Description

Fender's first solid-body electric bass, the Precision Bass, was born and released in 1951. Following the success of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass was released later, and it continues to influence the music scene today.

In the 1980s, Fender began adding more variations to its standard series of guitars. The Precision Special is one of them. It came equipped with an active circuit as standard, as if to meet the needs of the time.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.9 kg. The body is made of ash. The Fender-esque white color has a nice tanned finish, creating a unique look. The gold hardware complements the white body color for a truly captivating look. While there is some fading due to age, minor dents, and dullness on the metal parts, the guitar is in relatively good condition. The gold finger rest is missing. The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller-type locking pins.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The headtop is a matching white headstock, matching the body color. There are some small dents on the back of the neck, but the condition is quite good. The tuners function well, although there is some variation in the tightness of the winding. The frets and nut are not significantly worn and playability is good. The head thickness is 15.3mm. The nut width is 42.5mm. The neck shape is relatively sturdy.

[Electrical system]
The controls are an active circuit with a 9V battery, including master volume, treble tone, bass tone (through when passive), and an active/passive switch. The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan quarter-pound pickups, which offer a powerful feel. The preamp has been replaced with a Bartolini NTBT-G/918. The output jack and pot have also been replaced. The ash body's distinctive overtones and clean tone are the foundation of this powerful sound, thanks to the active circuit.
