ATELIER Z, a representative of high-end basses that has long been trusted by professionals, has released the 4-string, 24-fret model "Beta" with even more refined specifications!
This model was developed to accommodate modern playing styles, combining sophisticated looks with practical, functional beauty. In addition to the classic ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard, it is equipped with an original pickup and preamp, delivering a solid, well-attuned bass and the edgy sound that is characteristic of ATELIER Z.
The overall body shape is slim and sharp, but the deep cutaway allows for easy access to the 24th fret. This design allows even players who frequently use technical phrases to play without stress, and is truly the result of pursuing the player's perspective.
In terms of playability, the ATELIER Z's distinctive low action and tight setting offer stable response and a core sound, whether you play with slap, fingers, or a pick. Attention to detail has been paid to the feel of the pick and the elasticity of the strings, allowing you to experience the feeling that the player's nuances are directly transformed into sound.
Following a March 2025 renewal, the pickup now features the company's original "JZ-4," which combines a split structure and slant pole pieces, and is designed to combine noise resistance with power.
In addition, the newly developed active preamp "AZ-3B" with 3-band EQ allows for delicate tone control, dramatically expanding the range of sound creation. Furthermore, elements that support playability, such as a heel cut at the joint and a removable finger lamp, are also included, making this a highly refined model that supports expressiveness.
With its tight low end, crisp attack, and solid feel, this model is versatile enough to flexibly accommodate any playing style, yet it feels as though it only comes together in the player's hands. It's also a solid core bass for anyone looking to cover a wide range of genres.
