This ultra-hybrid sound engine combines GR synth sounds with latency-free COSM guitar modeling, creating an amazing guitar synthesizer world.
When you try it on a guitar equipped with the GK-3 or a GK-compatible guitar, you'll be amazed at the picking response, which is so impressive it feels like a new effect.
Preset sounds can be selected from LEAD, RHYTHM, and OTHER, and 270 built-in guitar sounds are ready for guitarists to use in their songs. You can also edit and store 297 more sounds in user memory. You can also mix your own guitar sounds with synth sounds to create expressive and innovative guitar sounds.
The GR-55 is equipped with full-fledged amp modeling using COSM technology, which began with the VG-88, as well as a variety of multi-effects, which can be combined with independent chorus, delay, and reverb to create a wide variety of sounds.
The new sound-on-sound feature makes it a powerful tool for live, real-time performances. It can also be connected to a PC via the USB port, and the built-in USB AUDIO and USB MIDI functions allow for expansion to DAWs and MIDI recording from guitars and basses. It also features a dedicated bass mode with 90 preset sounds!
Operability has also been dramatically improved, and the EZEdit function makes editing sounds effortless and instantly useful for live performances and recording. If you're looking for new sounds for pre-production or live performances, be sure to give the GR-55 a try.
