Description
Description
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.7kg. It features a body shape and pickup arrangement reminiscent of the ST type. The body is made of alder, and the other materials suggest that this series, along with the SF series from the same period, was inspired by F company. In addition to scratches, dents, dirt, and dullness on the metal parts, there are also sticker marks on the back of the body.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple with a rosewood fingerboard and 21 frets. Until the model change, even the higher-end models will feature a hardtail design without a tremolo. The tuners function well, although there is some variation in winding. There are a few dents on the back of the neck. The frets and nut show moderate wear, with dents visible, especially on the low frets. There are some rough spots, but there is no excessive buzzing or clogging. The nut width is approximately 41.2mm. The sleek neck shape is typical of Yamaha.
[Electrical system]
The controls include one volume/tone knob and three three-position phase switches. Each pickup can be switched between phase and off, allowing for a total of 13 possible combinations. As this is an entry-level model, it doesn't feature bi-sound, but the three single and three switch settings are more than enough for a model of this calibre. The tone pot has been replaced.
