A beautiful used John Patitucci signature model has arrived!
This is a signature model designed for John Patitucci, a renowned bass player known for his work with jazz greats such as Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock.
This 6-string guitar features a beautiful maple top and back on an ash/alder laminate body, a 35-inch super-long scale, a three-piece maple neck, and a 26-fret ebony fingerboard. The pickups are Alnico V's original low-noise double-coil pickups, and the Active 5 Control System allows for a wide range of tonal expression, making it the ideal guitar for John Patitucci.
It also features Yamaha's unique IRA (Initial Response Acceleration) processing, which results in a straight, smooth sound that is also an attractive feature.
*IRA is a Yamaha proprietary technology that reduces stress between the paint and adhesive and the wood/parts by vibrating at the optimal vibration frequency specific to each instrument when tuned, making the instrument "easy to play" right from the start.
Although there is some dullness on some parts, there are no large, noticeable dents and it is in relatively good condition. The truss rod has ample room and the neck is in good condition.
The seriousness and refinement that is characteristic of Yamaha is evident in the sound, resulting in a clear, high-quality tone that faithfully reflects the player's touch.
