Description
Description
A perpetual motion is a phrase exercise without rests, filled with notes that follow a chord progression, also known as a perpetual motion in classical music, such as Paganini's "Perpetual Motion, Op. 11."
This book is based on applying perpetual motion to jazz, but the effects can be expected regardless of genre.
Practice makes perfect! By simply playing the restless "perpetual motion training" sheet music provided for each chord progression, you can first master phrasing techniques for a variety of situations.
Once you've mastered the technique, you can analyze the notes in the example at your own pace, and your understanding of the three elements of chord tones, approach notes, and scales will deepen.
Furthermore, the more you play, the more your fingering and picking skills will naturally improve.
Ultimately, this is a training collection that will help you accumulate "usable" phrases while training your playing technique, ear, and concentration! *In other words, it can also be said to be a large collection of practical phrases.
In order to be able to "stop and play whenever you want" when improvising, you first need to acquire the "ability to play without stopping," and perpetual motion is the perfect way to practice.
The accompanying CD contains the author's superb and smooth demonstration performance.
Playing the model performance at the ideal tempo is extremely difficult and requires considerable skill, but that is what makes it worth the challenge.
In that sense, the sense of accomplishment you get when you play nonstop is simply pleasant, making this "perpetual motion training."
You can enjoy it like a sport, and it's also effective as a daily warm-up exercise, so you can use it for a long time.
Please give it a try!
