Description

Carefully selected consignment items (sales on behalf of customers)

The Telecaster is one of Fender's most iconic guitars, and in the late 1960s, various variations were created as demand for different sounds became more diverse. The Telecaster Custom, featuring a humbucking/single-coil pickup combination, was released in 1972 and has since become a favorite model among many guitarists.

This time, we have a black ash body with a maple fingerboard from the mid-1970s. It was originally used by a Japanese artist. It's a highly sought-after guitar. Customizations and masking tape have been left intact.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.3 kg. The body is made of ash and features a cool black finish with a black 3-ply pickguard. While there is some weather checking typical of a thick skin finish, scratches throughout, some paint burns near the body ends, and some tarnish on the metal parts, the guitar is in excellent condition, reminiscent of a vintage guitar. The bridge has been custom-fitted with a 6-way saddle.

【neck】
The neck is made of one piece of maple. It was re-topcoated during the refret/tuner replacement described below, and like the body, it remains in good condition with some weather checking. The tuners have been replaced with Sperzel locking pegs and function perfectly. The frets and nut have been replaced once, and although there is some wear near the low frets, there is no significant choking or choking. The headstock is 14.0mm thick. The nut width is 39.0mm. The neck has a relatively clean shape.

[Electrical system]
The controls are a 3-way pickup selector, 2 volumes, and 2 tones. The pickups are a Fender humbucking pickup in the neck position and a Telecaster single-coil pickup in the bridge position, a familiar combination for this model. The bridge (rear) pickup has been replaced with a slightly later Dating pickup of the same specifications, and one other pot has also been replaced. The tone capacitor remains the same as it was originally. This guitar offers a rich, clear, and lustrous neck position and a lively, crisp bridge position, allowing you to enjoy the different character of each.
