SLP Expressive Hammered Steel
SLP -Sound Lab Project- is a series that pursues a unique sound for each instrument by combining sizes and parts that maximize the potential of the shell material.
The SLP Hammered Steel snare drum features a striking, dazzling steel shell with a striking hammered finish, contrasting with the bold black nickel hardware for a striking appearance. The steel shell, with its distinctive clarity, is molded to a depth of 6mm. Depending on the tuning, it can produce anything from a powerful crackling sound to the delicate sound of a snare buzz, resulting in a well-balanced sound. The hammered finish also has a slightly shallower stroke width, which allows it to produce a mellow, rich overtone without being overly flashy, despite being a hammered shell. A slightly thicker 2.3mm triple flange hoop is mounted on the drum,
In addition to adding an open, sustained attack, the 20-strand Starclassic snare wire is used, delivering rich expressiveness that captures even the player's subtle touches.
Its well-balanced sound is ideal for a variety of genres, including rock, pop, and fusion.

Uses a 1.2mm thick hammered steel shell.
Hammered processing is done by setting the stroke width slightly shallower.
Although it is a hammered shell, it is not too flashy and produces a mellow, rich overtone.
[2.3mm Steel Mighty Hoops (10 tension)]
The hoop is made of 2.3mm steel flange.
It features an open and expansive sound.
[Starclassic Snare Wires]
MS20SN14S (Carbon Steel / Inner surface / 20 wires)
20-strand Starclassic snare snare.
It is made of carbon steel coil that produces a crisp buzz sound.
[MLS30A/B Strainer/Butt]
The strainer is turned on and off by rotating the lever horizontally. This mechanism prevents the tension of the snare from loosening while playing and prevents the switch from being turned off accidentally.
The cover that secures the snappy cord/tape also features a sliding mechanism, which is an innovative system that eliminates the need to thread the cord/tape between the main body and the cover.
