As the "NS" in the series name suggests, this series incorporates iconic Spector designs, such as Ned Steinberger's compact NS curved design, while also reflecting new ventures. The NS PULSE series features the traditional Spector specifications of EMG pickups and active circuitry, as well as a distinctive look with a body finish that highlights the wood grain.

As the series name suggests, the compact, curved body is crafted from solid swamp ash, with a shape similar to that of its higher-end models. The sandblasted finish creates a unique textured surface, while the colored piping creates a striking, three-dimensional look. The electronics combine the brand's signature EMG pickups with an original "TonePump Jr." preamp, delivering a clear, powerful sound that has been passed down since the brand's founding.
