A transparent fuzz pedal that uses carefully selected BC107.
The use of silicon transistors allows for a high-gain fuzz tone that cleans up as the volume is turned down, a behavior that is truly symbolic of 70s fuzz.
Plug it into a crunched tube amp and test it out!
Inspired by the pioneers of germanium pedals, the Fuzz Phrase Si beautifully recreates the rich harmonics and dynamic response of the acclaimed Fuzz Phrase Ltd. After meticulous testing of multiple silicon transistors, we determined that the BC107s were the best choice. By fine-tuning the circuitry specifically for this transistor, we were able to faithfully recreate the legendary Fuzz Phrase characteristics. The Fuzz Phrase Si delivers the desired tone character, long sustain across the entire frequency range, and the perfect balance of a fuzz sound that remains transparent.
■ Control
-Level: Adjusts the output volume of Fuzz Phrase Si.
-Gain: Sets the gain amount.
-Internal trimmer: Sets the transistor bias (factory setting is 4.5V)
