Every drummer spends many years searching for the snare drum that best suits their music and playing style.
The SLP - Sound Lab Project was created to serve as a guide for such drummers.
This shell was molded with the utmost precision, not only in terms of the balance between diameter and depth, but also in terms of thickness, by pouring all of the know-how that TAMA has cultivated over the years into it.
And rather than relying solely on the experience gained from building drums, we spent a huge amount of time verifying the matching of the selected hardware parts, such as lugs and hoops.
This snare drum series offers a wide variety of sounds created by combining these unique shells with parts that maximize their potential.


This model uses a 1.0mm steel shell, which is common for snare drums, combined with a 2.3mm steel mighty hoop, but is molded to a depth of 8 inches, 1.5 to 3 inches larger than the standard model.
As its size and matte black exterior suggest, its powerful, fat sound is perfect for drummers who prefer a heavy, loud playing style.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
