Description

Carefully selected consignment items (sales on behalf of customers).

The Cougar is an original model released by Mitaka Gakki in 1983, limited to 100 pieces (including the Cougar II) from Greco. This model features wood materials and a unique body shape that are conscious of the jazz-blues sound.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.6 kg. The body features a unique cutaway and features a spruce top and mahogany back. The ivory cell binding on the body top and the violin-colored finish give it a sophisticated and elegant look. There are cracks on the control knobs, a few small dents and scratches, and some tarnish on the metal parts, along with signs of use. However, the finish remains shiny and in relatively good condition.

【neck】
The neck is set into the body. The neck is made of mahogany, the fingerboard is ebony, and like the body, it has ivory cell binding. It's in excellent condition with only a few scratches on the outside of the neck. The tuners are chrome-plated Grover, and although there is some variation in the winding of the knobs, they function well. The frets and nut have been replaced once, but there is not much wear and playability is good. The nut width is 43.5mm. The neck shape is wide and has just the right thickness.

[Electrical system]
The controls are a 3-way pickup selector switch, 2 volumes, and 1 tone. The pickup in the neck position has been replaced, while the bridge position retains the original "DRY 1982" humbucker. As you can see from the materials, it produces a clear, thick, warm, and elegant tone.
