Description
Description
K.YAIRI is a Japanese brand that has been preserving its craftsmanship spirit since the 1970s, with a small team of around 30 people working hand-crafted products under the motto "Made in Japan, from a workshop in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture." The brand offers a wide range of products, from custom models to affordable models, and its commitment to making everything in Japan has earned it popularity not only in Japan but around the world, with fans all over the world.
The Standard Series DY-28 has been a best-seller since the 1970s. This "HQ (High Quality)" model features more carefully adjusted bracing than the standard DY-28, ensuring a richer, more nuanced sound throughout the entire body while maintaining K.YAIRI's signature delicate tone. The wood construction is solid spruce for the top and solid rosewood for the back and sides, combining with a dreadnought body for a truly classic look.
The neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and features a soft V neck shape. The nut width is approximately 42mm, providing a compact grip that is ideal for Japanese players. Each neck is individually handcrafted by a craftsman, who checks the grip of each neck carefully, demonstrating the exceptional skill and experience of the craftsman in his pursuit of a comfortable, natural grip.
In terms of sound, it has a crispness when stroking and a sound that allows you to feel the chords. It has a powerful, taut sound that is typical of rosewood and dreadnought types, but the delicate tone produced by careful craftsmanship makes it a guitar that is both pleasant to the ear and comfortable to hold, and it has a sound and excellent quality that can only be achieved by handcrafting it carefully created by the skilled craftsmen at the K Yairi workshop.
This is a recommended product for those looking for a domestically produced, all solid wood guitar.
