The MXR Fat Sugar Drive packs the clear overdrive tone of the Sugar Drive into a cabinet the same size as a Phase 90 or similar.
This pedal's unique drive control is what sets it apart. Turning the DRIVE knob changes the blend of clean tone, recreating the way a tube amp transitions from clean to overdrive. It also boosts the voltage internally, increasing headroom and delivering a wide, open sound.
By combining these elements, you can create a wide range of guitar sounds.
The Fat Sugar Drive defaults to true bypass, but players who prefer buffered bypass can remove the bottom plate and access the internal buffer switch.
These pedals are specially designed with a custom pink sparkle finish.
