Description

George Benson Signature Model

This is the new signature model that George Benson himself named "Little George Benson" and currently uses!

George Benson, who is strongly associated with using smaller-bodied signature models, began using the 16.5-inch GB200 in search of a deeper sound. The LGB300 is based on that model, but with changes to the neck material and cutaway shape.

While the GB200 had a mahogany/maple/mahogany neck, this model features a three-piece maple neck, resulting in a clearer attack and a sound that is more responsive to fast passages. It's no exaggeration to say that this is the perfected George Benson model, skillfully combining the best features of the smaller-bodied GB10 and GB100 with the larger-bodied GB200.

The guitar comes factory-strung with ".011/.015/.022w/.030/.040/.050" (D'ADDARIO ECG24) flatwound strings, so the basic sound is a jazz tone. However, thanks to the Ibanez Super 58 humbucker pickup and the flat sound characteristics inherent in Ibanez box guitars, it can also handle a slightly more rock-oriented sound if you put on roundwound strings.

Ibanez's domestically produced box guitars are produced in very limited quantities, and artist models in particular sell out immediately upon arrival, so they rarely appear in stores. Please consider this opportunity!

◆Gotoh Machineheads
It features Gotoh(R) SG510 tuning pegs, which are renowned for their tuning stability.

◆Super 58 Pickups (LGB300)
It features the Ibanez Super 58 pickup, a classic choice for its wide range of sounds, from jazz to blues.

◆Sure Grip Knobs
It features a Sure Grip Knob that combines a firm grip with smooth operation.

◆LGB Body
The all-spruce body features a glossy vintage yellow sunburst finish, a favorite of George Benson himself.

◆LGB Neck Joint
Considering both sound and rigidity, the neck is constructed from three pieces of maple wood.
The set-neck joint has a slim shape that prioritizes playability.
