Description
Description
By adding a uniquely shaped slit to the tip of the resin reed, it is possible to play with reduced volume using the same amount of breath as usual.
The sound reduction effect is enhanced by a structure that allows air to escape moderately through the slits and by reducing the area of the vibrating tip.
The material used is a resin that meets food safety standards.
■How to choose the best lead■
Air-Thru Reeds come in two cuts, Classical and Jazz, each with a variety of thicknesses.
Please refer to the fourth image to choose the reed that best suits your embouchure and the mouthpiece you are using.
//Differences in embouchure//
Classical (thin lip): A blowing style in which the lower lip is tucked between the teeth and the corners of the mouth are raised.
JAZZ (fat lip): A blowing style in which the lower lip is not wrapped too much around the teeth, providing a cushioned feel.
■Caution for UseThe count (thickness) of Air Through Reeds is different from that of regular reeds.Please refer to the compatibility chart below to select a product that matches your mouthpiece and playing style (please contact us for mouthpieces not listed in the compatibility chart).The sound reduction effect will vary depending on the mouthpiece used.
To maximize performance, use a mouthpiece with as flat a contact surface (table) as possible for the reed, and tighten the ligature screws firmly.
Please use a normal amount of breath, and do not blow too hard.
