The legendary wah pedal V846 has finally been reborn thanks to modern technology!
The V846-HW is the ultimate wah pedal, featuring hand-wired turret board wiring.
In the early 1960s, VOX was ahead of the competition in introducing the world's first wah pedal. The Wah Wah Pedal V846, released in 1967, in particular, was loved by guitarists the world over for its distinctive VOX sound, and has inspired numerous legendary performances, including the "Star Spangled Banner" performed at the historic Woodstock Festival in 1969. For this reason, there are still artists today who seek out original models, and the V846 remains an essential part of rock history.
Now, in 2011, after nearly 50 years, the V846 has been reborn as the Hand-Wired Wah Wah Pedal V846-HW. The internal circuitry employs hand-wired turret board wiring, a highly technical process, and adds a true bypass circuit not found on previous models. Every component, from the inductors to the pots, has been carefully selected and designed, and the exterior is made of high-quality die-cast with a sandblasted finish and crepe paint finish. The V846-HW is the ideal combination of VOX's world-renowned technology, delivering the purest sound of any wah wah pedal to date, with specs that are both classic and modern.
