A workhorse in the modern studio
The TLM 107 is a reference-class microphone delivering breathtaking realism for vocals and instruments. Five polar patterns plus variable pad and low-cut settings give it ultimate flexibility. And with a dynamic range of 131 dB, it can capture everything from a whisper to the loudest drums without unwanted noise or distortion.
The 21st Century Microphone

Neumann has given the TLM 107 a modern look, while retaining the large, tapered headgrille that is the icon of classic Neumann instruments like the M 49 tube microphone. A stylish navigation switch on the back of the microphone provides access to all settings: pad, low cut, and polar pattern (omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8).

Like all Neumann Engineering TLM series speakers, the TLM 107 operates on a transformerless circuit, ensuring an open, transparent sound and minimal bass transmission, even at maximum sound pressure levels. It also features two low-cut settings for reducing rumble and compensating for the proximity effect in close-miking situations. Even without resorting to the two pad settings, the TLM 107 can handle very high sound pressure levels of up to 141 dB without clipping (up to 153 dB with pre-attenuation). The TLM 107's self-noise is just 10 dB(A). This means the TLM 107 won't add any noise or unwanted distortion to your recordings.

Although the TLM 107 was designed primarily for small studios, it is also extremely versatile for broadcast and classical recording, and can be used with a wide variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, piano, upright bass, drums and percussion, as well as being an excellent vocal microphone.
