Description
Description
The new Hybrid Cymbal Stand, designed to meet the needs of drummers, offers improved sound and balance while maintaining its light weight. This is a must-have piece of hardware for drummers, embodying the Hybrid Series concept of strength and lightness.
●Weight reduced to less than two-thirds!
For cymbal stands, which are typically used in units of several cymbals, a figure of 2/3 per cymbal is an astonishing reduction.
*Compared to conventional stands
One of the important roles of a cymbal stand is to resonate with the cymbal and not kill the overtones. Aluminum is inherently not good at transmitting vibrations, but we have improved it by hardening it with a "hardened" process to increase its hardness and allow it to resonate at a higher pitch.
●Stability is ensured by lowering the center of gravity.Lightweight cymbal stands tend to have their center of gravity closer to the cymbal, but to compensate for this, the legs are designed to move the center of gravity downwards when opened.
To achieve good balance in a cymbal stand, it is ideal for the weight to increase from the top to the bottom. However, this created a contradiction by requiring the use of high-mass steel, which is more susceptible to resonance than hardened aluminum, in the areas closest to the cymbals.
In order to give stability to the stand, which breaks the conventional rule of weight balance by making the stand hybrid, the bottom of the cymbal stand's center pipe is designed to be closer to the floor when set up, which lowers the center of gravity of the stand and improves the balance of the stand.
In addition, a minor change in 2017 saw the joints changed from zinc die-cast to aluminum, and the pipes changed from aluminum to steel, further improving the sound and balance while maintaining the same lightness.
The boom arm closest to the cymbal is made of steel, which has a higher mass than hardened aluminum and is more prone to resonance. The joint has been changed from zinc die-cast to aluminum, and the pipe has been changed from aluminum to steel.
- Gearless system allows for flexible angle adjustment - Aluminum is used for the double legs.
- The boom arm can be set vertically in a straight type. - The bottom of the center pipe is designed to be closer to the floor when set up, which lowers the center of gravity of the stand and improves balance.
