It was updated to the third generation in August 2023.
Lotus was born from the concept of "making it easier and more fun to express the music you play, whatever the genre." The brand was created by trumpeter Adam Rappa himself, and was born from a series of thorough test runs.
For trumpets, you can choose from six rim sizes, ten cup depths, and three material combinations.
This is a mouthpiece that we can introduce as a new standard, regardless of genre, such as jazz or classical.
What is a LOTUS mouthpiece?
Incredibly easy to tune and play. Improved tone, accuracy, and durability. Familiar rim and cup make it easy to switch from other manufacturers. Three annealed materials—brass, bronze, and nickel silver—give you more control over tone, projection, and the balance between stability and flexibility.
I, Adam Rapa, believe that mouthpiece choice is far more important than the trumpet you play. The mouthpiece is an instrument and a very important amplification device. What we call "sound" is determined more by the mouthpiece than by the trumpet. The mouthpiece plays a major role in determining the range, quality of articulation, flexibility, durability... the intonation of the entire instrument, the resistance you feel when moving air, and more. Your playing is affected more by the mouthpiece than the trumpet. And, fortunately, mouthpieces are much cheaper than trumpets!

◯About "M" cup size
The Lotus M Cup is a particularly noteworthy model for many players who play less specialized music and need a cup that is neither too deep nor too shallow, neither too bright nor too dark, and that provides a significant boost to the treble range.
The M cup is ideal for players who need more sizzle when playing classical music like West Side Story or Star Wars, as well as players who want to play the piccolo more comfortably.
Jazz players can easily cut through the other instruments in the band while maintaining a thick, full sound.
If you want to look like a trumpet hero, this is the perfect cup to turn heads in a New Orleans street parade.
The backbore is designed to further enhance the tone, and although it is roughly the same size as a D cup, it sounds just as bright as a C cup.
Therefore, it is perfect for lead players who want to add depth to their sound in solos and section parts.
For players accustomed to shallower cups, this is the perfect choice without losing its beautiful brilliance.
