Description
Description
This time we have a Telecaster Custom with an alder body, walnut color, and rosewood fingerboard that was shipped around 1974. The rosewood fingerboard Telecaster Custom has a rather small feel to it.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.4 kg. The body is made of alder. Even though it was a standard color for this period, the walnut color adds a touch of sophistication. The thick skin finish, which uses a poly base, exhibits weathering, paint chipping, dents, and tarnished metal parts, lending it the feel of a vintage instrument. The neck pickup shows signs of having been previously fitted with a pickup from another manufacturer, with mounting screw holes remaining in the pickguard.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. There is some weathering and a dent on the back of the neck, but like the body, it is in good condition with the feel of a vintage instrument. The tuners are Fender "F-Key". Although there is some variation in the winding tightness, they function well. The nut has been replaced in our shop, and the frets have also been replaced once and filed down, so playability is excellent. The headstock thickness is 14.6mm. The nut width is 40.9mm. The neck shape is relatively clean.
[Electrical system]
The controls are a 3-way pickup selector, 2 volumes, and 2 tones. The pickups are a Fender humbucking pickup in the neck position and a Telecaster single-coil in the bridge position, a familiar combination for this model. This guitar offers a clear, lustrous sound in the neck position and a lively, crisp sound in the bridge position, allowing you to enjoy the different character of the guitar.
