Description

We have a used 70 Stratocaster in stock, believed to be made to order by Yamano Music by master builder Greg Fessler, who is trusted by many famous players such as Robben Ford, John Mayer, and Joe Bonamassa!

[Greg Fessler's background]
Greg Fessler joined the Fender Custom Shop in 1990. Originally working in telecommunications, Greg started from scratch as an apprentice, but gained experience by assisting Robben Ford in building his signature guitars, eventually earning Robben Ford's full-time trust and establishing himself as his personal guitar builder.

Greg has built guitars for an incredible number of artists, including Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Healey, Hank Marvin, John Mayer, Rhonda Smith, Neal Schon, and Pete Wentz, and each one is packed with the attention to detail that only a Master Builder can provide, impressing even world-class artists.

What is the Fender Custom Shop?
This section was established in 1987 to produce the highest quality guitars for the Fender brand using carefully selected materials from the wood purchased by Fender, using traditional handcraftsmanship and high-quality manufacturing techniques.

This section inherits the traditions and technology of Fender, a company with a long history, and its lineup, which is unique to custom shops and assembled by a limited staff, includes models that exist only once in the world, such as the Master Builder Series, and is truly the finest and most premium.

The tools used in the production of these instruments include jigs that were used in the 1950s and 1960s. Crafted with the utmost care by staff members who are thoroughly versed in Fender guitar know-how, these instruments boast the finest quality and sound to satisfy any player, and are sure to become a reliable companion that you can enjoy for a lifetime.

-----

The guitar we're introducing this time features an alder body, a large headstock with the CBS logo, a round-faced rosewood fingerboard with 70s-style F logo pegs, a straight-grained maple neck with a faint hint of heather and a four-point joint, following the 1970s specifications favored by Greg Fessler, and the Yamano signature on the neck pocket suggests it was a shop order from that time.

The pickups are gray bobbin on the front and black bobbin on the center and rear, and there are no signs of modifications, suggesting the circuit is original. There are some faint dents and scratches, especially on the sides of the body, some tarnish and rust on the metal parts, and slight weather checking near the joint plate, but the frets remain at about 70% of their original height, and the neck, truss rod, electrical system, and playing aspects are in excellent player condition.

With a high-quality lacquer finish that feels comfortable in your hand, a C-shaped grip that supports smooth playing, a tremolo unit that works smoothly once you touch it, and a high-quality sound with a thick, clear attack, once you get your hands on this supreme masterpiece you'll understand why it's loved by so many musicians. Be sure to consider it!
