Description

From the JE-Line model series, which will be sold exclusively in Japan by Suhr Guitars from autumn 2021, comes the Classic S Antique with Roasted Flame Maple, a must-have for exotic wood fans!

Suhr Guitars has earned the trust of top professionals not only for its electric guitars but also for its amplifiers and replacement pickups, and has established a reputation as a high-end brand. Popular worldwide among professionals and amateurs alike, the brand continues to receive overwhelming support from top artists who do a lot of studio work.

Today we're introducing the Classic S Antique HSS, featuring a vibrant Seaform Green color and a lustrous Roasted Flame Maple neck!
This model, which was released in 2020 as part of the J-Select series and gained popularity, has undergone a minor change and has made a long-awaited comeback as part of the JE-Line series!
This model is based on the Classic Antique model from the Core Line series, featuring an alder body, medium-sized stainless steel frets, and a V63 single pickup (the J-Select RFM model used nickel frets).
The warm sound of the Roasted Flame Maple neck, which we are highlighting this time, is beautifully combined with the quick response and clear sound image provided by the stainless steel frets, creating a sound that can be said to be the true essence of a hybrid guitar.

The pickups are designed to realistically recreate the sound of a 1963 S-type guitar. The front and center pickups are wound to have the same tonal characteristics as the sweetest-sounding pickups of the era, and the bridge pickup is an Asatobucker, known for its bright, wide-range tone with a soft attack and smooth, warm sound. The guitar features an HSS layout. Of course, the guitar is also equipped with JST's proprietary SSCII (Silent Single-Coil) hum-cancelling system, which adapts to different noise environments and delivers a low-noise sound that maintains its sonic image even in high-gain setups.

The bridge is the world-class GOTOH "G510 2-Post" bridge, which provides a wide, natural sound while minimizing tuning drift caused by friction when using the arm!

Not only does it have a sound and tone that can be used in a wide range of genres, but it also has a neck that makes playing feel stress-free, and the SSCII circuitry eliminates noise, making it a guitar that has been perfectly assembled as a tool.

Experience the wonderful finish that truly embodies the attention to detail of master craftsman John Suhr!
