■ Originality...
Originality. Innovation. And expert craftsmanship. Always pursuing innovation without being bound by convention. This is also Oyaide's philosophy. The Genesis Extreme RCA Plug is no exception.
One of Genesis' most innovative and groundbreaking technologies is its screw-type chucking mechanism. While collet-chuck RCA plugs typically tighten by rotating the end cap, Genesis uses an independent locking sleeve to tighten the cap. This minimizes the gap between the cap and the body, suppressing the resonance between the body and cap that was a problem with conventional collet chucks. Furthermore, the locking sleeve and body threads are coated with optical lens grease. This grease has just the right viscosity to prevent loosening and control vibration. The body threads are also full of Oyaide-esque gimmicks. The locking sleeve and end cap each have threads of different pitches engraved into the body, and the rotation direction is reversed from left to right. This is also a gimmick designed to prevent loosening due to vibration.
■Materials and Processing: Genesis is crafted with the utmost in Japanese craftsmanship. The contact pins are machined with high precision from phosphor bronze round bar using a highly programmed CNC machine, then meticulously barrel-polished and plated with a platinum and rhodium combination. The pin and body are insulated with PTFE insert molded into them, creating a contact with excellent electrical properties and high vibration resistance. The body is also machined from 12mm copper alloy round bar using a CNC machine. The six-piece tip ensures reliable curved contact and minimizes transmission loss. Similarly, the outer shell and housing are machined from brass round bar using a CNC machine. The CNC-machined shell and body are denser than traditional lost-wax castings, providing superior shielding and transmission characteristics. The surface is hard chrome-plated, just like the camera body.
■ Pursuit of Usability: Oyaide's products are unparalleled in their ease of use. This is because Oyaide is constantly in contact with end users through sales, allowing us to easily incorporate customer needs. This spirit is also present in the Genesis. The maximum cable outer diameter is 9.0 mm, limiting the creative possibilities of DIY users. The independent locking sleeve is not just for vibration control. While conventional collet chucks require the tip cap to be rotated for chucking, the Genesis' screw-type chuck is located at the rear of the main body, separate from the cap, allowing for secure holding even in tight spaces.
■Design Design is an extension of functionality, and its extremely rare beauty was born out of necessity. The design, inspired by a camera lens that captures a fleeting moment, represents the hidden potential of Genesis. The beauty of the powerful, sharp body design, which can only be described as "honed," will instantly catch your eye. The sense of power, sensuality, and sophistication further enhance its appeal, creating a sense of anticipation. A superb product that will take you to an extraordinary time within your everyday life.
With its high utility, resolute presence and outstanding performance, it instantly captivates everyone. It instantly exudes Oyaide's pedigree. More powerful, more dynamic, more supple. And even more refined. That's Genesis.
