Description
Description
As part of a miniature clip microphone system, the KK 14 capsule offers unparalleled sonic integrity and consistency for close instrument placement.
Newly designed capsule overcomes the limitations of conventional electret capsules. Enhanced clarity in key frequency ranges. Cardioid pattern. Unparalleled tonal stability. Long-life design for on-site use.
Taking electret condenser microphones to a new dimension
The KK 14 captures the distinctive sound of acoustic instruments with unparalleled accuracy and naturalness. Overcoming the limitations of electret technology, it delivers a wide bass and midrange, as well as confident elegance in the high frequencies. With a maximum SPL of 153dB, the KK 14 captures every detail, from quiet nuances to powerful fortissimo peak dynamics.
The perfect eight parts
Neumann engineers therefore rethought the manufacturing process for electret microphones. Whereas conventional solutions rely on highly integrated designs, Neumann opted for a layered structure in which every module of the KK 14 is built and designed to deliver perfect results. The components are then assembled by hand in Germany. This eliminates typical compromises and opens up an unprecedented spectrum of acoustic quality. The titanium housing is designed to be tough, yet also expresses an inner elegance in design and engineering.
Tone stability and robust design
The layered design also ensures that every capsule sounds exactly the same, achieving an unprecedented level of tonal stability, reducing the time required for basic EQ processing and providing a consistent sound from the early stages of sound check.
As part of the Neumann Miniature Clip Mic MCM System, this new series offers unprecedented value for money. The system is designed for years of use, not just a season, and its modular design allows for easy replacement. Nine mounting clips provide secure, gentle positioning for any instrument and on any surface. The system connects to all your essential wireless systems and is available with cable options including 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, 4-pin mini XLR, MicroDot, and wired connections.
