API Select Series Stereo/2ch 4-Band EQ
The SR24 is a 2-channel 4-band equalizer.
Continuously variable frequency and boost/cut controls allow for very precise equalization of the selected audio material.
The circuit design of the SR24 has deep ties to the history of API.
From the late 1970s to the early 1980s, an audio manufacturer called APSI manufactured consoles and equalizers.
One of these, the 562 module, was a four-band fully parametric equalizer designed by APSI and sold through API.
Over the past few decades, this EQ module has been a favorite of many studio engineers, but it has become increasingly difficult to obtain.
The SR24 faithfully recreates the original 562, offering two channels of classic analog EQ in a 2U rackmount unit.
