■Features● This high-resolution, unidirectional electret condenser microphone features a newly developed wide-bandwidth recording microphone capsule. The newly developed microphone capsule features a thin, lightweight diaphragm and reduced acoustic impedance on the back plate, achieving highly reproducible sound capture up to 50 kHz. Furthermore, high-strength, highly insulating polyetherimide (PEI) is used as the insulating structural material, processed with high-precision resin cutting. The capsule case and back plate are made of brass, processed with high-precision cutting. High-precision assembly ensures high-precision sound capture with minimal distortion. Furthermore, the diaphragm is vapor-deposited with 24-karat gold for exceptionally pure sound quality. The ECM-100U achieves a flat frequency response up to 50 kHz, capturing the unique characteristics of each instrument without coloring it.

The chassis is made of die-cast zinc with a high specific gravity to ensure vibration isolation and damping, and the microphone housing is made of machined brass, combining dissimilar metals to eliminate unwanted resonance and achieve clear sound.
