The Moso bamboo housing used in the AH-D9200 is produced in Kochi Prefecture, a bamboo-producing region. Each piece is carefully finished by skilled craftsmen with some of Japan's best woodworking techniques, from felling, sawing, cutting, polishing, and painting. All parts, including the housing, drivers, and hangers, are collected at Shirakawa Audio Works, Denon's proud mother factory.

●50 mm Nanofiber Free Edge Driver The AH-D9200 employs a 50 mm diameter nanofiber diaphragm that offers an ideal balance of light weight, high rigidity, and moderate internal loss. The nanofiber composition ratio of the nanofiber was optimized to match the Moso bamboo housing, and laser analysis was used to refine the diaphragm's shape to minimize distortion. Denon's commitment to a free edge structure, which supports the outer periphery of the diaphragm with rolled edges, just like in speakers, enables uniform piston motion across the entire diaphragm, resulting in extremely low distortion and rich, full-bodied sound in the low frequencies.

●Moso Bamboo Housing from Kochi Prefecture The housing is made from high-quality Moso Bamboo from Kochi Prefecture, grown under proper management in the warm tropical climate. Bamboo is known for its texture and aesthetic appeal, and is used in the steering wheels and interiors of luxury cars. While considering various materials for its new high-end headphones, Denon discovered that bamboo was the ideal material, combining light weight, moderate rigidity, and excellent vibration absorption. The discovery of Moso Bamboo has made it possible to realize unprecedented expressive power, depicting a majestic soundstage naturally and precisely.

Detachable Silver-Coated OFC Cable: In pursuit of the purest sound possible, this cable uses silver-coated OFC (oxygen-free copper) wire coated with pure silver, the metal with the highest conductivity. The outer sheath is wrapped in cloth for a pleasant feel and excellent strength. The plug uses a machined aluminum sleeve for increased durability.

The hanger is made of lightweight yet durable die-cast aluminum. This not only contributes to acoustic performance, but also enhances the satisfaction of owning it, thanks to the beautiful shine that comes from carefully crafting each piece. The adjuster with its scale and clear click makes it easy to find the perfect size.

Surprisingly gentle ear pads: We've developed a proprietary artificial leather that is approximately twice as durable as standard artificial leather. Three-dimensional stitching allows it to fit the curves of your head, creating an ideal shape that distributes pressure evenly. Combined with memory foam that optimizes lateral pressure, this ear pad provides a comfortable, airtight fit that wraps around your ears without stress.
