About S2V
The S2V is a classic 2-way nearfield monitor suitable for small to medium-sized control rooms.

The newly developed 7-inch low-frequency driver, developed specifically for the S Series, delivers powerful, distortion-free bass with a rich dynamic range from 35Hz to 3kHz. The carefully refined S-ART tweeter works in harmony with the newly developed HPS waveguide to deliver extremely precise sound image positioning with a spacious sweet spot.

Despite its compact size, the S2V packs a powerful punch: a 350W Class D amplifier drives the woofer, and a 100W Class AB amplifier drives the S-ART tweeter, delivering a maximum SPL of 120dB per pair.

The custom-designed DSP in the S Series not only achieves linear and flat response characteristics across a wide frequency range through optimal crossover settings, but also offers user-configurable EQ and voicing/tuning functions that adapt to room acoustics. It also features a high-frequency limiter for excessive input, AES3 digital input, and future expansion options. Software updates are possible via the built-in USB port, and DSP functions can be controlled from computer software by connecting the speakers to a computer.

With its outstanding frequency response and balanced, extremely sharp sound image, the S2V allows you to grasp even the most subtle sonic details, making it the ideal monitor speaker for the demanding modern studio environment.

●About the S Series ・ADAM Audio - The S Series
ADAM Audio's new flagship S Series consists of five models: S2V, S3H, S3V, S5H, and S5V (the letter H at the end of the model name stands for Horizontal, and V for Vertical). This new series was born from advanced engineering innovation achieved through several years of in-house development and the use of cutting-edge CAD technology, and has nothing to do with off-the-shelf speaker technology.

Innovations implemented for the S Series include newly developed woofer and midrange drivers, S-ART tweeter wave guides (and midrange wave guides for the S5), and a new DSP engine that provides crossover optimization, EQ curve configuration, and future expandability, with every aspect of monitor performance being rethought.

As a culmination of all these technological efforts, the new S Series has succeeded in achieving even more accurate response characteristics and wide, uniform directivity, delivering high-quality sound with excellent resolution not only in the high frequencies but also in the low and mid frequencies. Compared to previous models, the new S Series can reproduce larger output with less distortion, enabling accurate monitoring across a wide frequency range. In terms of connectivity, it supports the latest digital inputs in addition to traditional analog inputs.

- Newly developed woofer unit using ELE and SMA technology
The S Series is equipped with a new woofer unit developed from scratch, incorporating many new technologies, including a lightweight and highly rigid honeycomb-structured driver cone, a highly efficient and self-cooling linear magnetic circuit, an edge with minimal amplitude loss, a linear damper system, a symmetrical voice coil with a cooling vent, and a newly shaped frame, all of which have been redesigned to improve performance.

As a result, the woofer unit can maintain linear operation without split vibration even with excessive amplitude, and the provision of a cooling vent has also succeeded in minimizing power compression. Furthermore, the shape of the bass reflex port, which greatly contributes to low-frequency reproduction capabilities, has also been completely redesigned for optimization.

All these factors combine to create an exceptional low frequency driver capable of accurately reproducing higher SPLs with minimal distortion, enabling professionals working with raw, uncompressed audio sources to monitor at high volumes for extended periods without ear fatigue.

-Newly developed S-ART tweeter, custom-designed wave guide
The S-ART tweeter is the latest evolution of ADAM Audio's renowned ART (Accelerated Ribbon Technology) tweeter. Tighter tolerance standards have been implemented in the manufacturing process, and a new, custom-designed, machined aluminum waveguide provides improved directivity and sound imaging, providing a wider sweet spot. In both the S5V and S5H models, the midrange driver also features a custom-designed, machined aluminum waveguide.

- Groundbreaking DCH midrange driver
The S Series also features a newly developed midrange driver. The new 100mm (4-inch) midrange driver uses a hybrid design that combines the advantages of dome and cone types, providing excellent directivity, low distortion, high efficiency, and a flat frequency response. The midrange driver incorporates many of the technological innovations developed in the new woofer unit, including a linear magnetic circuit, low-loss edges, a linear damper system, and a newly shaped frame.

High-Performance DSP Module: The new S Series is equipped with a newly developed, high-power DSP engine based on the latest generation SHARC chip. This powerful DSP engine provides superior frequency response, dynamic range, and resolution through optimally tuned crossovers, and also includes features such as custom EQ for adapting to room acoustics and digital connectivity for future expansion.

- Fundamental review of enclosure design
The S Series' exterior design reflects ADAM Audio's heritage as a manufacturer of precision monitoring tools in Germany, a country renowned for its advanced engineering. Every design decision is a practical one. Thick, heavy enclosure materials eliminate unwanted vibration and sound coloration, and the enclosure corners are rounded to avoid unwanted sound diffraction. The S2 and S3 offer mounting points for ceiling or wall mounting.
