The reason Bill Finnegan created Klon is clear: even if you're satisfied with the sound of your tube amp when you set the volume to 6, the richness of the sound is lost when you turn it down to 4... Isn't it possible to get the same rich sound at volume 4 as at volume 6? Bill Finnegan created Klon's first product, the CENTAUR, for a simple reason that many guitarists would consider.
The CENTAUR was developed with the concept of a pedal that offers a natural, low-compression, open, and responsive sound—in other words, a pedal that you wouldn't even notice you're using. Its one-of-a-kind, exquisite sound captivated many guitarists and left behind many legends. However, because the CENTAUR was handmade by Bill, production was discontinued due to poor workmanship, much to the regret of many.

Currently, the successor to the Centaur, the KTR, and many other high-quality models inspired by it have been developed, and as these have gained recognition, the original model has also become more and more highly rated, with its market valuation showing no signs of slowing down.
This latest arrival is the "Long Tail" version, featuring a long tail of a half-man, half-beast from Greek mythology. It's a rare early model with a "FAX ONLY" label on the back panel. The silver case shows some fading and wear, but is in relatively good condition. The charge pump IC has been replaced.
One of the pedal's most notable and wonderful features is that simply incorporating it into your setup will naturally boost your tone without compromising it's basic tone. The sound responds well to each knob and to picking, producing a clear, lustrous, and exquisite driving sound that truly deserves the title "King of Overdrive."
*Please make sure that the power supply is 9V and the plug is center positive/sleeve negative. Using it with reversed polarity may cause a malfunction.
