Description
Description
This is a stereo passive DI box. It can handle high-level signals without distortion. Unlike active DI boxes, it is not limited by the power supply voltage of a buffer amplifier. It features two high-quality Jensen audio transformers that convert the signal to a low-impedance balanced signal, allowing it to be used with cables up to 100 meters long. No power supply is required; simply plug and play. Each channel has a 1/4-inch input jack, a through jack, and a -15dB input pad switch. The ground lift switch lifts Pin-1 of the two XLR output jacks, eliminating hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
This amplifier is built to withstand the rigors of professional use. The case is constructed from 14-gauge steel and features a unique bookend design with overhangs around the switches, providing excellent protection for the controls and switches. The internal frame is resistant to impacts and twisting, and the circuit board is designed to resist soldering. The transformer is protected by a mu-metal can, forming a Faraday shield that protects it from magnetic fields generated by stage amplifiers. These various features ensure a clear, hum-free signal.
