The ST series, developed with Focal's expertise to meet the most demanding professional requirements, inherits the sound and design of the SM6 series, Focal Professional's most highly acclaimed, while continuing to evolve.
The speaker is equipped with a tweeter baffle with optimized acoustic and diffusion characteristics, and the internal and external ports have a flared structure, significantly improving the strength of the speaker itself.

3-Way Monitor: The French-made ST TRIO 6 is a 3-way monitor that offers perfect transparency, precision, and dynamics. Equipped with two focus modes that allow switching between 1-way and 2-way monitoring, the Trio 6 can act as three monitors in one.

This studio monitor features a beryllium inverted dome tweeter with a frequency response up to 40kHz.
The 5-inch midrange and 8-inch woofer feature W sandwich composite cones and a cutoff frequency of 35Hz.
Like the SOLO 6 and TWIN 6, the TRIO 6 incorporates Focal's best technology.

- Patented TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) suspension
Focal's patented TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) suspension reduces distortion by 50% in the 1kHz to 3kHz frequency range, significantly improving sound clarity and reproduction of the source sound.

Improved cabinet strength and laminar venting: The laminar port design eliminates port noise and distortion, even at high volumes, resulting in a more natural sound and excellent transients. The cabinet and internal lacing have also been further strengthened and improved, reducing distortion caused by speaker vibration and improving low-frequency response.

・IAL (Infinite Acoustic Load)
IAL technology has made it possible to design a tweeter with a wide frequency range that extends very low, allowing the frequency range to be reproduced with exceptional clarity in an ultra-lightweight tweeter, the frequency range to which the human ear is sensitive.

TRIO 6 is Focal's benchmark loudspeaker that redefines three-way studio monitors.

●W sandwich composite cone
The W sandwich composite cone is manufactured in France by Focal, allowing for a perfectly optimized frequency response curve. The cone's unique properties of lightness and rigidity control the speed of signal transmission within the material. By adjusting the thickness of the structural foam, the cone's damping qualities can be controlled with great precision. When listening, this produces absolute sonic transparency, extremely low distortion, and excellent phase characteristics.

Beryllium Reverse Dome Tweeter: The trademark "reverse dome tweeter" that guarantees Focal quality is made of beryllium, a material harder than titanium and lighter than aluminum. It achieves a linear frequency response up to 40 kHz. Furthermore, updates such as improved transients and interference suppression deliver a more neutral sound. The tweeter baffle has also been updated to avoid sound reflection from above and to expand the sweet spot.

Focus mode
The TRIO 6 has two focus modes.

・Focus mode 1
The 5-inch woofer operates over the full range from 100 Hz to 15 kHz, while the tweeter and 8-inch woofer are shut down.

・Focus Mode 2
The 5-inch woofer and tweeter operate from 80Hz to 40kHz, with only the 8-inch woofer shutting down.

It can be controlled with a single footswitch pedal (sold separately), and the focus mode can be selected with the switch on the back of the speaker (1 or 2).
Alternatively, you can use a dual footswitch pedal (sold separately) to activate Focus Mode (right switch) and swap Focus 1 and Focus 2 (left switch). The switch on the back of the speaker must be set to 1+2.

●Other functions
The Solo6, Twin6, and Trio6 each feature a variable high-pass crossover and a 160Hz parametric crossover to reduce console or desk reflections, and an On/Off selectable auto-standby mode, providing simple, essential options for controlling your loudspeakers.

The ST6 series cabinets are made from thick, robust materials, providing higher rigidity and damping than ever before, and are designed to reduce vibration and distortion.
