FAQ

Description

Les Paul is a legendary jazz guitarist who has had a profound influence on the history of popular music, particularly on the electric guitar and its playing techniques. Gibson released his signature model, the Les Paul Model, in 1952. Despite many twists and turns since then, the Les Paul model remains a standard in the electric guitar world, beloved by guitarists worldwide, with a diverse lineup including vintage reissues and models inspired by the guitar produced by other companies.

The Les Paul Standard was re-produced in 1968, and the following year, in 1969, it was redesigned to feature two mini-humbuckers, the Les Paul Deluxe. This particular Les Paul is a tobacco sunburst colored guitar from around 1973. It seems that only about 3,000 Les Paul Deluxes in tobacco sunburst color were shipped in total.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.3 kg. The body is made of a four-piece maple top with a laminated mahogany back, commonly known as a "pancake" finish. The four-piece maple top features alternating plain and flame grain, and a beautiful sunburst color with a brownish gradient exterior. While there is some overall weather checking, a crack in the pickguard, minor dents and pick scratches, belt buckle marks on the back of the body, and tarnish on the metal parts, the guitar is in excellent condition.

【neck】
The neck is made of three-piece maple. There is a small chip near the top corner behind the headstock due to impact, and there is weather checking and minor scratches on the back of the neck, but the finish itself has a good shine and, like the body, is in relatively good condition. The tuners function well, although there is some inconsistency in the way the knobs are wound. The nut and frets have been replaced once and are currently slightly low, but have been filed down and adjusted, and there are no noticeable choking or other issues. The nut width is 43.3mm. The neck shape is thin near the low frets but thickens significantly toward the 12th fret.

[Electrical system]
The controls are standard: a 3-way pickup selector, 2 volume controls, and 2 tone controls. The pickups and other controls are in pristine condition. The guitar's natural resonance and solid body combine to deliver the deep, crisp tone characteristic of mini humbuckers, with a touch of lustrous mids, producing a superb clean to drive sound.
