Description
Description
The Violence Booster MK-X is a top-of-the-line clean booster that inherits the lineage of Valkyrie Spear's signature pedal, the Violence Booster MK II. Featuring a fully discrete circuit using carefully selected parts and a new module called the "V2-Module" that combines vintage parts, it offers improved functionality and sound quality over its predecessor, the MK II.
While inheriting the powerful and lustrous tone that makes the most of the original sound, a hallmark of Valkyrie Spear, two new adjustment functions have been added: a gain switching DIP switch and a brightness control trimmer, allowing for a high-quality boost while maintaining the texture of the original sound, whether in a live performance or in the studio.
The TRITON 1000 is equipped with a "Brightness Control" function that allows you to optimally adjust the treble and presence ranges according to the settings of your equipment and pedal board.
The Brightness control trimmer is set to maximum value (Max) by default, but when using it for live performances with a large boost amount or when boosting high-gain distortion, you can turn the trimmer down to fine-tune the high frequencies to prevent them from becoming too loud. By making full use of this function, you can achieve the optimal boost, bringing out the original sound while creating a cohesive overall sound.
When using bass, it can be used to adjust pitch and softness while maintaining the thickness and richness of the low frequencies, and to reduce touch noise during recording.
The inside of the case is equipped with a DIP switch that changes the output gain, allowing it to be used not only as a booster but also as a buffer.
?High Gain: Minimum +3dB?
Low Gain: Minimum 0dB (unity gain)
The factory setting is High Gain, providing maximum performance as a booster. If your pedalboard or amplifier doesn't allow you to increase the gain, you can switch the DIP switch to Low Gain and set the knob to minimum to achieve unity gain output (0dB). This is recommended if you want to add shine, thickness, and body to your sound without increasing the gain.
The Violence Booster MK-X is characterized by its natural sound creation that makes the most of the original sound, and is compatible with not only guitar but also bass.
For bass, the bass delivers a tighter, fuller sound in the low range while also improving overall crispness and definition. What's more, the pitch of the strings can be more sensitively expressed when playing with your fingers or picking.
This single unit can handle a wide range of conditions, from boost to buffer operation, and from clean tones to high-gain distortion.
This unit uses a discrete circuit configuration, so it can be powered from a wide range of voltages, from 9V to 18V DC. The sound characteristics change depending on the power supply voltage, so you can find the sound you like best.
The Violence Booster MK-X is designed to create a natural sound that makes the most of the original sound, and is compatible with not only guitar but also bass.
For bass, it delivers a tight, rich bass tone with less muddiness, while improving overall crispness and definition. It also allows for more sensitive and vivid expression of the pitch of the strings when playing with your fingers or picking.
The Violence Booster MK-X can handle a variety of conditions, from boost to buffer operation, and from clean tones to high-gain distortion.
